MERRY SLEDDING IS HERE!!

Hey blogland!! This is the first of 3 posts today, I hope you will come back to see the rest of them!! Today and the rest of the week I have got some wonderful new sneak peeks to share with you, so let's start it off right with a NEW Belles n' Whistles image which is really ADORABLE!! Her name is Merry Sledding!! What a great name for her!! Well, instead of making a card I have made her into an ornament to hang on my Christmas tree. I don't have my tree just yet so here it is...

She's CUTE, isn't she!! I just have to say that she is my favorite new image for the holidays! I have created an ornament that's a shaker. The inside of the shaker has some red, pink, gold and silver beads along with some chunky white/clear glitter to represent the snow. I added some color with the beads so you could see them... otherwise it will just all be white against the background.
This is a close up of the shaker ornament. I love to make shakers and used to do them all the time when I first started stamping.

Today also begins the Belles n' Whistles Annual Advent Calendar Blog Event!! Everyday from December 1st until December 24th we have something special for everyone and of course prizes!! Birthday Boy

It's back to work for me after a nice, long 4 day Thanksgiving weekend!! I wish we had weeks like this all the time! I was able to relax, spend time with family and friends and do some crafting too. The card I have here was made for my friend's son who just made a year old, his name is Dylan. He is just the cutest little boy!!

Anyway, the card was made using Cupcake Philip, and you can get him from All That Scraps. I used bright and bold colors which I thought were perfect for a Birthday, and glittered his cupcake for the frosting. Boys are so hard to create for, but I really need to create more male cards and be prepared for next year.

This is going to be a busy sneak peek, crafty week for me so I hope that you will visit each day of the week to see what's new!!

Color Me Challenge #3

Hey there!! I hope all of you had a great weekend!! I'm enjoying my Sunday afternoon and wanted to post this card I created for Sassy Cheryl's Color Me Challenge, using a new image called The Simplest of Gifts. Right now Cheryl is having a challenge on her blog that will run until this Tuesday!! I think this has got to be one of the best images of the holiday season. We all seem to forget about others who are less fortunate than us and sharing and giving with each other is what we need to do. Cheryl has really sent that message in this image!! Last One Of The Year...

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Day with family and friends! I'm sure all of you are stuffed and full of turkey! The card I have for today was created for the challenge blog called Christmas Stampin' All Year Long, and this just happens to be the last challenge of the year. This week's challenge is Anything Goes! So create anything to do with Christmas!

Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge: Anything Christmas!

Before I go on with my posting today, I'd like to wish each and every one of you a very Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope you are spending the day with family and friends!!
Today begins a new challenge with Elisabeth Bell's World!! For the next month we'd like to see you create a project with the theme of Anything Christmas!! So you see there are an abundance of things you can make, AND you are able to use any image that Elisabeth has made for various stamp companies!! The project I went with is a treat box that I found HERE. I thought it was perfect to hold these cookies and more. The image I used is from Belles n' Whistles latest Snowbabies Collection called Snow Gear!! Doesn't she look warm and cozy in her mittens, hat, scarf and sweater! Makes me wish there were snow here in Hawaii at this time of year, LOL! We don't get to see the changing of the seasons here but at least we get to create with sweet holiday images like this!!
So, to join in the fun all you need to do is create a project with our theme of Christmas, use any Elisabeth Bell digital image or stamp, and upload it to the challenge blog by December 20th!!

Can you believe Thanksgiving Day is tomorrow? Where has the time gone after we celebrated Halloween! Well, we've got a new challenge for you with Flutterby Wednesday where we'd like to see you create a Thank You card. Here's the card I created using one of my adorable Hanglar images. Doesn't this remind you of a Spring card? I wanted to create without using the colors of Fall.

Thinking of Love

Today brings a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl!! Our wonderful hostess Jeni will be celebrating her 18th Wedding Anniversary on November 28th! Her very sweet hubby sent an email to the group to ask if we could surprise her with happy wedding wishes!! So Jeni Congratulations!! During this time of year most of us gather together with family to enjoy the holidays and each other. This brings me to Sassy Cheryl's challenge for the week which is to create a card with the theme of Thinking of You!

The image I chose is called Lover's Tree. Isn't it cute how she drew the heart on the tree to symbolize her love for her sweetheart!!

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle All The Way!!

Are you ready for the holidays? Can you tell I'm ready for some Christmas caroling? This stamp just so happens to be called Jingle Bells, and was made for today's new challenge with Belles n' Whistles!! The challenge for the next 2 weeks is to follow a sketch and to use bold Christmas colors.

So I've gone with the traditional Christmas red and green using beautiful paper from Basic Grey called Jovial. I've also incorporated a big red bow and some green buttons and baker's twine in red to match.
In this photo I tried to capture the bells around the reindeer which were colored gold, and then I added some stickles in gold for sparkle. I had a great time coloring up this image!! I hope that you will join us in this challenge... be sure to use any image from Belles n' Whistles, follow the sketch and to use bold Christmas colors!!

Hey everyone, Happy Sunday!! Today I'd like to share with you a card I created with this adorable image from Elisabeth Bell's Digi collection called Lil Cowboy. I personally feel that most of us crafters create cards and projects that are mainly for women, and since my card stash has cards mostly for women, I plan to create more cards in the future for men.

I loved being able to follow the theme of a cowboy and so to add to it I used some stars, bling and some DP with stars.
I will probably be using this card for a birthday since it looks like he's having fun! Elisabeth Bell's November Digi Blog Hop!!

Hello Everyone!! Welcome to our blog hop!! I am first today and here is what I created using the latest and cutest image from Elisabeth Bell!! This adorable cutie is called Letters To Santa! You can find her in the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection!!

I just could not wait to color her up in pastel, non traditional colors. It makes her look even sweeter right!

I've added some white flowersoft and glitter for snow and for her clothing. Some pretty pink lace at the bottom of my card for softness too!!

Show Me Thursday #2

Hello there!! It's a late post for me, on a Thursday... I have not a clue why it wasn't posting when it was set to the correct day and time! Anyway, today is the second Show Me Thursday that we have at Sassy Cheryl's! I love playing along and looking at what all of you have on your desk and the set up of your rooms!! So here is my desk at the moment.... YIKES!! Did you see that mess in the back???

Ok, that is nothing!! LOL!! I am constantly creating one card and project after another that I just move on with the next card and push everything else further in the the back of my desk until it looks like I have only a very small space to work on. I know there are tons of you out there that can probably relate to my situation.. hee hee!! =)

Well here in the photo, I have the recent card I made for the Sassy Cheryl Tuesday challenge, the back of a card where I have stamped my name, and this tin of stamps from CC Designs.

Far in the back is my trusty Big Shot. I have had it for about 8 years and it's still going strong!!

All the stuff in the far left of the photo... well, let's not go there! LOL!!

Heidi With Ornament

Happy Wednesday!! Well, I have been really busy these days and have not had a chance to visit any blogs... but I will slowly be getting back into the swing of things hopefully in the next few days. Today is a new challenge for Flutterby Wednesday!! It is also the first time that Danni has created her very first sketch!!

So this is the card I created using her fun and beautiful pink sketch! I think you did a great job Danni!! The image I chose for the card uses a Swiss Pixie stamp called Heidi with Ornament, she is from CC Designs at All That Scraps. I decided to make the background she sits on look like an ornament since she's holding one and then added some sparkle in gold to brighten the holiday card.

Countdown To Christmas

Hello blogland! We've got lots of things going on with Sassy Cheryl's!! First, today is Tuesday so that means it's time for a NEW challenge. This week our theme is Countdown to Christmas, and so we'd like to see what you can create using any Christmas image from Sassy Cheryl's! Here is the card I created for the challenge using Santa and His Tree. Cheryl has got some really adorable new images in the store, you have to run on over to get them!

I really love coloring images from Sassy Cheryl's, they are so easy, fun and you can do so much with them. Cheryl has a great line of snowmen, but lately I am loving these cute cute Santa images.

Well, it's Monday and that means it's the start of another work week! It's also the start of a new challenge with Copic Creations! For the next 2 weeks we'd like to see some paper piecing on your card. The team was sponsored with such cute and fun digital images from Tickled Pink Stamps!

The image I have here, is called 60's Ivy, I love the cute dress and boots! I love that these images are so easy to color and are versatile for all occasions. I tried to pick papers that would match her era, so I went with the floral motif, can't go wrong with that! Show Me Thursday #1

Hey there!! I hope you are having a great weekend!! We've got some new and fun challenges going on at Sassy Cheryl's!! One of the newest things is called "Show Me Thursday", Cheryl wants to see what you are working on each Thursday. So, here's what my desk looks like today. I will be honest in saying that I wanted to take a photo of my entire desk but it really is horribly messy... I will have to clean it up! LOL!! Hey maybe you'll see the difference in the next few weeks for this challenge! LOL!

Anyway, I've got a few Sassy Cheryl images on my desk that are waiting to be colored. I've also got the latest card I made for the Sassy Cheryl challenge and a Martha Stewart Spiderweb punch which should actually be put away since Halloween is over. Behind that is a card I made with a Belles n' Whistles stamp.

The other NEW challenge going on right now is Color Me Tuesday. All of the challenges that Cheryl has throughout the week has a digital image up for grabs!! They are really easy to participate in, so go get crafting!!

Thankful For You

Did yesterday feel like a Friday for any of you? It did for me, I guess because of the Veteran's Day holiday... wish I took a vacation day from work today so that I could have a 4 day weekend!! Oh well! Today is a new challenge with Christmas Stampin' All Year Long, and this time we are being sponsored with images from InStyle Stamps. The challenge is to create a card using stripes, so here's my take.

The DT had a choice between Christmas or Thanksgiving images so I went with Virginia who was obviously created for Thanksgiving. I had fun making this card and coloring the image. I finally had a chance to use my sewing machine again and did some stitching around the card for texture. The smallest things sometimes really make the card stand out better.

Little Rapunzel

Hey there! I hope all of you are enjoying the Veteran's Day Holiday! The card I have created uses an adorable digital image from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Image Collection, called Little Rapunzel. I love that you can resize the images to what you are creating.

Lately I have been in the mood to create with big bows and various card techniques instead of the usual plain old square card. This time I decided on a gatefold card. They are really easy to create and a little interactive too.
When piecing my card together I wanted to be sure that the recipient of the card would have an easy time opening and closing it. So I decided to tie a bow on one end of the card and then just added a piece of velcro behind the scalloped circle. This will make it easier to open and close and will keep the big bow intact.
Then I added some pretty paper roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. This was a fun image to color and a fun card to make. Wishing you a great day!! Many thanks for your visit!! =)

Time For A Little 3-D

It's time for a little 3-D with Flutterby Wednesday!! Today the flutter team is sharing their challenge creations using the theme of a Window Card. The card I created for the challenge is a tent card, you can find it HERE. I haven't made a tent card in a while so it was fun, especially creating one for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.

The image I chose for my card is from Belles n' Whistles. Most of you know that I just LOVE to create using images from Elisabeth Bell!! The scenes the creates with this adorable little boy and girl are so cute and pretty at the same time. The image is called Hearty Thanksgiving and can be purchased HERE. Got Tulle? OR Ribbon?

Thank you everyone for the sweet anniversary wishes!! Hubby and I enjoyed a relaxing evening at home, but have plans to celebrate over the weekend. Today we begin a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's, and what we'd like to see you create with is either tulle or ribbon. I must admit I rarely use tulle on my cards but have been seeing them around here and there on other cards. It is a fun and pretty addition to cards. I especially envisioned using tulle with this cute image called Bunny Chit Chat. It looks like it's for Easter but really can be used for any occasion.

Here I have used the tulle to act as a fluffy bow, it gives really great dimension. Then I decided to use some baker's twine to hold the tulle in the center and also tied a bow. We'd love for you to join us for the challenge, all you need to do is use any of the images in Sassy Cheryl's store and use tulle or ribbon or both. Have a wonderful day!

My 2nd Anniversary!!

Hello everyone, I hope you had a great weekend!! Today hubby and I are celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary!! We actually will celebrate on the weekend since it's a busy work week for us both. I can't believe how quickly time has passed.

Well, today also begins a new challenge with Belles n' Whistles!! The challenge is to create a card with a "Cozy Winter Nights". This means you use anything that makes you feel cozy, for example using velvet, felt, etc.

I have decided to use flower soft since it brings a nice fluffy and warm feeling, especially when you add it to the clothing of your stamped image. This adorable cutie is called Catch A Flake, she is from the new Snowbabies Collection. I hope that you will join us for this fun challenge! A Reason To Blog

It's a late post for me today but I really wanted to share this with all of you. One of the reasons I began my blog was of course to share the creations I make, but another reason is meeting such wonderful people. This card below was given to me by a VERY sweet blogger named Debbie, she is a wonderful crafter too... see her card!! Well, about a couple of months back she had won one of the Magnolia summer stamp kits I had. After receiving it she created this card and sent it to me (she knows I love Halloween)!! I must tell you that rarely do I receive cards after giving away blog candy... I don't expect them, so you can imagine my surprise in getting such happy mail!!

A Very Merry Christmas To You

I am so glad the weekend is finally here!! Today I am sharing some tags that I created for my Tag Swap partner for the month of October. I had found this adorable stamp that I had not used in years and thought it was so cute! The stamp is from a company called Juju's.

My friend Kyoko runs the monthly tag swap, check out her blog here. Can you believe that December is just around the corner? Yikes, that means crowded malls! LOL!!
Here's a closer look at the tags. I used my snowflake cuttlebug folder for the base of the tag, added some printed paper to the top of the tag and mounted the stamp and sentiment to the tag. Very easy and fun!! I hope to get a lot of things done as well as catch up on some much needed sleep. Have a good one everyone!

Happy Aloha Friday!! Today I've got 2 fun challenges for you, the first is for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long. The challenge this week is to alter something, so I decorated a tin and created a card to match. This was so fun and easy to create!! The next challenge is for Sunday's with Crissy! This month the challenge is to create a card using the colors RED, GOLD and GREEN... doesn't that remind you of Boy George and the song called Carma Chameleon?

I have been very busy these days, with both work and home and barely have a chance to visit all of your blogs but once things start to settle down... hopefully soon, I will be able to get back to visiting all of you.

Today I have a few things to share with you... the first is from my Tag Swap partner for the month of October and that is Cami!! She had created these beautiful pink holiday tags and also gave me this adorable stamp!! I love big pink bows, and all of the awesome details she added!!

My next card is a Halloween one that was created by Curt!! Curt has been a great friend since I have started blogging which was about 3 years ago... he loves Halloween just like I do. Don't you just love this beautiful scene he made!!
Last but surely not least, is a card I received from Mama. It's a Thank you card she created for the baby shower we held for her last month. This is the front of the card...
and this is the inside of the card. I love how she added the 3D part as well as a gift card!! Pretty creative huh!

Time For a Wing Change

Happy hump day! Now that Halloween has past, how many of you have started Christmas shopping? I haven't yet...however I think most will start shopping the day after Thanksgiving. Anyway today begins a new challenge with Flutterby Wednesday!! This week the team were sponsored with digital images from In Style Stamps.

I personally love the cute anime images and had fun coloring this cutie! The image is appropriately named Wing Change Ava. I think she is just too cute!! Should you join us for the challenge, it's an open one...just be sure to use a butterfly, fairy or angel. it runs until Tuesday at midnight.

Falling For You

I hope all of you are doing well! It's time to begin a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's! Fall is here and we want to see you create a card using the colors of Fall. So here's my take on the challenge!!

The image I chose is called Pumpkin Wagon, I really love the detail in this image it was so much fun to color! This image also comes created with a boy too!! Not only did I keep the colors of the image using Fall colors but also for the background paper and embellishments.
