HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Happy Halloween everyone!! Hope all of you are having a great day so far, and looking forward to either taking the kiddies out Trick-or-Treating or staying at home to pass out candies and seeing all the creative costumes. I just love Halloween, it's one of my favorite celebrations next to Christmas. The creator of this card also loves Halloween and that would be CURT! He was so sweet to send this card to me!! I love it! Thanks so much Curt! Well, to create this card he stamped the spider web all across the bottom border of the card and cut away the bottom part of the card around the shape of the spider web. He also was very creative in placing these orange Dew Drops in the center of the web to give it some bling! The spider on the card was given goolie eyes to create some realism. Not sure if you can see it in the photo, but on all the stamped images, Curt added some glitter too. There will be no Halloween party at our place this year because of our upcoming wedding. Tilda with Spider

Hello Everyone!!! I am back to post a Halloween card I made with the new Halloween stamps from Magnolia called Tilda with Spider. Magnolia has a collection of Halloween stamps that are super cute!! This one is my favorite from that collection and I got her from Summer who is a friend and co-worker. Her store is called Roses on Paper. I made this card for my friend Claudia who is such a sweet and talented person. I love all her creations and I know you do too! =) She has not received this card yet and does not know it will be coming her way. Hopefully she will see it in her mail first.

Along with using a Magnolia stamp, I used some wording and DSP from Stampin Up. The image was colored using my copics--LOVE these!! You must get your hands on them if you don't already have it. I have a really cute and nice card from Curt to share with you but I will save it for tomorrow. Hope you are all having a wonderful day on the Eve of Halloween!

Hello Everyone, my biggest apologies for not posting anything on my blog for ages!! I have been extremely busy with getting things together for my wedding and have not had any time to create things to share with all of you. I will be on a blog and craft break and definitely post as soon as I have a chance. In the meantime, I wish you happy crafting while I enjoy marital bliss! ok, some of you are saying "Bliss"? what is that? LOL! Seriously Ladies and Gent, I'll be looking forward to our special day!

Fairy Tales Do Come True!

This weekend we attended a friend's wedding at the Hilton. It was every girl's dream! If you literally wanted to always be a princess for a day, that is exactly what she was. The wedding was circled around the theme of Disney's Princesses. The bridal party dressed in attire for a prince and princess (snow white, jasmine, belle). The bride was Belle (the beauty) and her hubby the beast. This was the first time that I have been to a themed wedding--Lots of FUN!! =)
Can you guess what their wedding cake was? Nothing would be right if you had no castle! Yes, that's right, the wedding cake was in the shape of the castle you see in Disneyland, and was pretty darn HUGE!! It was a sight for all to see. I wish I could show it to you, but I forgot to take my camera with me. (sorry)
The pics I have here are a part of the centerpiece on each table. There were 4 like what you see here, and in the center of them was another piece with tall branches and more flowers. Just beautiful!! The lady who created that and all the other arrangements for this wedding is the bride's mother and lucky me, she will be doing all the arrangements for my wedding!!! YAY! =)
We had also gone to a 1st Birthday party and sorry, no pics because my camera was charging and I forgot to grab it before we left.

Penny Black Challenge #17 (sketch #3)

Good morning, it' Friday!! We are finally at the end of the work week, and for some of us, it's a holiday on Monday which means a 3 day weekend! I finally had a little bit of time to participate in a challenge and chose to do one for Penny Black. I have quite a bit of these stamps and now can put them to good use. These stamps are just so cute (like all the others out there)that you just sometimes have to have it. When my sister and I were little (around 4 years old) we went fishing and crabbing with my dad. Initially we were scared because we had no idea what to expect. As the day progressed we were having so much fun that we forgot about being scared, and were looking forward to the next weekend to do this all over again. Now that we are older, I think we should have him take us fishing like when we were little. =) Anyway, this stamp reminds me of the good old days.

This week, we are to follow this sketch (above). I really enjoyed making this card, it was a new layout, and I tried to use a color scheme that was not something I would regularly choose.

The colors I chose were Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, Whisper White and Bashful Blue cardstock all from SU. The DSP is also from SU called Maine Blueberry. I was finally able to use the technique of creating a quilt-like pattern for the background cardstock with the help of my Scor-Pal. If you do not have a scor-pal you really ought to get one, they make life so much easier!! =)

Christmas Fun

Hi everyone, today I am sharing a card I made not only for the upcoming holidays, but because I have not inked this stamp up since I got it about a couple of weeks ago. I really had to have this stamp because it's so cute and it looks like loads of fun!! =) Here in Hawaii we could go sledding if we were on the Big Island where the snow falls during the holidays, but if we all can't make it there the closest is going cardboard sliding down a grassy hill. That is not bad at all! You won't be freezing!

Took this picture to show you how I added little snowballs to the top of the santa hats, and used liquid applique to create the 3D snow. All SU cardstock, and DSP (retired), Gold Brads, Gold elastic cord white gel pen and crafter's tool kit for faux stitching. Have great day !!

Whiff of Joy Challenge #2

Since I posted there is a Whiff of Joy challenge blog has anyone participated? Well, since I had missed my chance to make something the last time I have made it a point to create something just so I could be apart of the challenges!! =) Anyway I am using a Whiff of Joy stamp called Charlie and his Dog and you can get this cute stamp and other WOJ stamps at Little C's. The challenge is to have stitching on your card. Any kind of stitching for example a sewing machine, or drawing it in to make it look like stitches. I chose to draw them in.

I had fun making the card, and coloring it using my copics! I used the SU Carstock Night of Navy and for the background paper, I found some pre-printed snowflakes (don't know from where) I also added the soft sky ribbon from last year and used white fun flock on his outfit for a softer look. Hats off to the Holidays!

Good morning blog land!! The air is changing, the color of the leaves have changed (but not here in Hawaii), and Christmas is just right around the corner. This week's challenge for Little C's is to use the sketch that Jen created, and make a Christmas card out of that. The good thing about a Christmas card challenge is that you can make the cards and use them for the holidays.

Did all of you enjoy making a card today for world card making day? I must say that I have to post the cards that I made tomorrow. In the mean time, I am sharing a card made by my friend Jocelyn...she's super crafty!! =) For her birthday I gave her these Tilda stamps from Magnolia and a few days ago we met up and she gave me this cute card of Traveling Tilda and Luggage. If you look closely, she wrote my name on the luggage she is sitting on. How cool is that!!

New Challenge Blog

Hey there blog world, I have not been able to post anything due to finalizing some things and trying to make sure we have everything we need for our special day which is coming up very very fast!! You'd think I'd have everything completed and ready to go after attending 13 weddings a few years ago! =) No such thing. When it's your own wedding, it's a whole different ballgame (for me anyway). Onto the card. For those of you who like to participate in card challenges there is a new blog challenge for Whiff of Joy. They had their first challenge and I was just one day behind to create my card for the challenge. I missed it, but that's ok, there are more to come! So, here are one of the stamps that are from Whiff of Joy called Willow with Hot Chocolate. Magnolia stamps are cute, but these are just sweet! Did you ever notice how all of a sudden there are so many new stamp companies making their way to us ?
